Located in the southern portion of Florida, the city of Miami is ranked as a top hotspot for great beaches, vibrant nightlife, endless shopping, recreation, and even romance. The city was founded on July 28, 1896 and is divided into different sections: North, South, West, and Downtown. Downtown Miami, technically located in the eastern part, is considered as the heart of the city. It is South Florida’s main center for business. It houses major banks and other financial institutions and tourist attractions. Meanwhile, the Southern part of the city is where the Coral Way and the famous Coconut Grove are found. Coral Way is a residential area that was built in 1922 while Coconut Grove, built in 1825, is home to Miami City Hall. On the other hand, the Western part of Miami houses different immigrant neighborhoods from Central America, Cuba, and other countries. Lastly, the Northern section of the city is where Midtown is found. This is also a district of different races and diverse culture.
